The Masks We Wear

AN: So my relationship is down the drain and I felt like writing again. Beware of the wave of emo poetry. The emo is strong with me at the moment.

The masks we wear
are worn and tear
at the seams.
It seems however,
that whenever
we show our masks
we show our pain
we show our loss.
So if our masks are signs of emotion,
would the mask not be a gateway
to see what commotion
is deep inside?
Do we still hide?
Or are our lying pretty faces
the new crying
the new black
